    Telemedicine is a method of medical care that has evolved over the last 40 years. Although the term is commonly associated with medical care over the telephone, recent technological advances have allowed a great improvement of the service. By adding the possibility of video, patients and doctors talk face-to-face without having to be physically in the office. This form of consultation ensures a clear personal communication, a vital aspect in medical care, and allows a visual diagnosis while improving the flexibility of the service through virtual consultations through VIDA.

  • Who are the doctors working at VIDA?

    The doctors who work at VIDA are family physicians and have a solid experience in primary care. They offer their services in part-time VIDA, while working in person at health centers and specialized clinics throughout Spain. This makes our doctors who are in constant exercise of medical practice and trained to evaluate the symptoms for which we offer treatment in LIFE. All doctors have been trained to offer the best possible service through video calls.

  • In what situations is it recommended to use VIDA?

    VIDA can be used to treat diseases and symptoms that do not require a physical examination for diagnosis. Not all health problems allow diagnostics and virtual treatments, so it is advisable to see the list of symptoms before our appointment to help you. However, for the symptoms described in the list, our doctors will offer you the same medical care you would receive in a physical clinic. That means that, if your doctor considers it necessary, you will receive a prescription.

    Anyone over 16 years old with ID, NIE or passport can use VIDA. In addition, VIDA allows to request medical appointments for children under 16 years of age.

  • Is VIDA a valid assistance service for all types of medical problems?

    No, VIDA is not a valid service for those medical problems that require emergency assistance or a physical diagnosis. Please see our list of symptoms before making an appointment, to make sure our doctors can help you with your problem. If you need more help evaluating your situation, please contact your assigned health center.

  • Can I use VIDA for my health problem?

    We suggest you to make sure that VIDA can offer the right service to your problem before booking and paying your query. To make sure, check our list of symptoms.

  • Can I use VIDA abroad or in different provinces of Spain?

    Yes. You must have your ID on hand, as well as a mobile device that has camera, microphone and speaker. Ensure that you have a good internet connection, and you can make an appointment with your doctor in Spain through VIDA from anywhere in the world.

  • Can I book a meeting for my child?

    Yes. You can make an appointment using your own ID and choosing the option to request a consultation for a child under 16 years. However, if your child is over 16 years of age, you must use your own identification for consultation.

  • How long are the meetings at VIDA?

    Medical consultations at VIDA currently have no time limit.

  • Is it safe to use VIDA?

    In VIDA all the information is strongly encrypted. Your identity is verified through your ID or identity document, and your doctor's through your document that accredits you as a collegiate doctor.

  • How is my personal information stored?

    All information regarding appointments and medical history is subject to strict confidentiality, in accordance with the national legal framework. Video calls are not recorded and
    So they are not documented in any way other than your medical history, as would occur in any traditional medical visit.

  • What do I need to use VIDA?

    As mentioned above, it is important that your symptoms can be treated through a virtual consultation. Please see the list of symptoms to make sure that VIDA is the right service for your problem. Once you have made sure that VIDA can solve your health problem, you need a mobile device with good Internet connection, camera, microphone and speaker.

  • Can I use VIDA on my phone or tablet?

    Yes, you can use VIDA on any mobile device and once you have downloaded and installed our app through the App Store / Google Play. You also need to upgrade your iOS device to iOS 7 or higher. Android devices need the Android 4.4 update (KitKat) or higher.

  • What happens if I miss the meeting?

    Unfortunately, we can not offer refunds for missed meetings.
